It’s another January and another opportunity to take a fresh approach to a brand new year. Like most people, I make a few resolutions for good measure. My top resolution is to make my home office a productive working environment – clean up my piles of “work in progress” and file the stacks of “work completed.” A new desk and added filing system has put me in the mind to stay ahead of my work at home. In order to do this, top on my list is getting my computer in order. I need better applications, more RAM, and a new hard drive to hold all my new projects. Maybe I need a new computer all together? You may be thinking the same thing. Does this sound familiar?

Listening to the little radio in my office can be a bit annoying. Depending on the station, a low hum emanates from its tiny speakers like the buzz of housefly circling my head. I could get a better radio and be rid of the hum, but I still have to deal with the mindless banter of morning talk and an endless stream of commercials.
