A great gadget for every Road Warrior or owner of an Expensive Electronic Device (EED) is something to keep their precious toys from being left behind or stolen.

This is NOT that gadget.

I found the Fellowes Mobile Proximity Alarm at a major electronics retailer recently. The concept was appealing. There are two small units - a transmitter to attach to your PDA, laptop, phone, bag, etc and a receiver for your pocket. Once activated, as the sales pitch goes, if the two devices are more than 15 feet apart, a loud siren will sound.

The Facts Behind the Forwards

Urban legends are pervasive in today's email. I get a fair amount of forwarded messages warning me against shopping at particular department stores or telling me the story of a hospitalized boy wishing to send an email around the world. Recently, I received a forward on how collectively consumers can lower gas prices.
